The members of the Christian Science Society, Nelson, welcome you to their Internet home! Below you will find current information about our church services and Reading Room.

In 1879, Mary Baker Eddy founded The Church of Christ, Scientist. Today there are Churches of Christ, Scientist and Christian Science Societies around the world. This society is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sunday Services
Please call for time and location.
It includes a lesson sermon from our Pastor: the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Everyone is welcome to join us!
Sunday School
Sunday School for children and teenagers up to the age of twenty is held at 10:30 am and lasts one hour. Students are taught the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and the Sermon on the Mount. Children too young for Sunday School are lovingly cared for in our Children's Room. Everyone is welcome to bring children and teenagers to our Sunday School!

History and Edifice
A few students of Christian Science began holding services in private homes in 1908. Church services continued for a number of years in various locations around Nelson. Two lots on Baker Street were puchased in 1927. The church building was erected and ready for occupancy on Sunday, November 6, 1927.
